Mysterious Discovery

The work of renovation was taking place in the shop. They ripped the walls and floors. It was then they spotted something really strange cropping out of the floorboard. Initially, none of them cared to check what was that as they all were busy in doing the work of renovation.

What Is It?

The object appeared in its full form when they ripped off the floor completely. The object was plastic-made, brown in color, and was in good condition. At first, they could not figure out what exactly was that but as they bent forward to take a closer look they realized that it was something odd. It was a wallet! Well discovering a wallet is not a big thing what caught their curiosity, even more, was the contents inside the wallet.       

Lying In Wait

The building in which the wallet found was the Talent Factory in Nevada, Iowa. It is a comedy club that had been here for many decades. No need to say that the building had seen several renovations since then. But not for once did anything like this cropped up during the renovation. The process had unearthed a mystery lurking inside the floor for ages. But what was so special about this wallet. And how did it get buried beneath the floor and for how long was it here for?  

Wallet

It was not just discovery but the beginning of a mystery that was yet to be unfolded completely. Larry Sloan who is the owner of Talent Factory could not hide his astonishment when he accidentally discovered the wallet that was 71 years old. But the question was where did it come from?       

Whose Was It?

Looking at the contents of the wallet, Larry deduced that it was some 7 decades old. Well, what was it doing it there? Was it there for seven decades and most importantly who was the owner of the wallet?    

For Posterity

Though the wallet was quite old, it did not look old at all. In fact, it was in surprisingly good condition which was hard to believe considering the fact that it stayed cramped beneath the floorboards for many years. Larry picked up the wallet. The first thing that the man speculated was that the wallet belonged to a kid as it was made of plastic. But his speculation took a 180 degree turn when he saw its content.         

Generational Building

The building previously was a movie theatre. It was Larry who transformed this old movie theatre into a comedy club. The building was originally built in the 20s. The building had seen many visitors since then. Some had celebrated their first dates here and some had their first kiss here. The place had witnessed many special moments of people’s lives. But when did it catch this wallet with no name that too was 71 years old?         

Keeping Tradition Alive

The movie theatre had become people’s favorite shortly after it came into existence. The place always remained crowded with people. Not only that, the theatre would entertain people of different cities who would come to the theatre to watch the first movies ever filmed. Larry put it, “I love that, thinking of what kind of history it made.” 

Turning Into Comedy Club

The man did not want the legacy of the building to die down. That is the very reason why the man made it into a comedy club. The building still did the task of entertaining others but in a different way. The man had many of his emotions attached to the building. 

It’s A Routine

It is an everyday business. The comedian gives onstage performances and makes the audience fall off their seat laughing. As expected the business was going great. Throughout those years no one could sense that the building was not only holding a legacy but also a secret.
