The couple Mia Shelby and Rozonno McGhee saw each other for the very first time when they were in high school. Rozonno recounts “I used to see her walking down the hallway, and she always held books in her hands like she was on a mission.” It did not take them much time to fall for each other and exchanged ring at the age of 20. However, they had no plans for kids right after the wedding.
Though they found the utmost happiness after having each other, they had a very toilsome past. Whereas Mia's brothers were involved in crimes, Rozonno mother was severely addicted to drugs. These family problems left a deep impact on both of them. Positive and negative both. It helped them to grow mature before the age and perhaps that's why they managed to fight this big challenge coming their way.
The troubles were yet to leave them. They failed to conceive a child despite multiple tries. It was then they realized that they require medical aid. Although the pair was not very affluent, they did everything they could to get the treatment going. Eventually, the efforts and prayers bore the fruit and Mia soon got pregnant with twins. The news made them feel on top of the world and why would it not be, the couple had gone through a lot to live this moment. However, they were not aware of the tragedy that was awaiting them.
The ecstasy of Mia and Rozonno did not last long as their twins could not survive the premature delivery they had. Naturally, the couple had all their dreams shattered but their hope remained intact. They kept trying till Mia once again got pregnant. This time the pregnancy just not brought happiness but a big surprise too. Mia had sextuplets in her womb. Luckily, this time Mia delivered healthy children.
No doubt the couple was on could nine after being blessed with six tiny version of them. It would be wrong to say that they faced no problems in raising their kids. Mia had to quit her job to look after them. They always had diapers in their hand and the kids used to eat even more formulas. Rozonno along with helping the Mia with their children also had to take care of his business of carpet cleaning and upholstery business. It was then they decided to do something that changed their life completely.
They organized a photo shoot for their large family. This captivating photo had Mia sitting and inclining towards Rozonno whereas Rozonno was lying on the floor with their six children. This beautiful photo soon got viral after they sent it to their family. It was just the beginning, they had no inkling what was lying before them until they met this big celebrity.
Oprah Winfrey, the famous host of a famous talk show invited them to her show. They discussed their struggling past, blissful present and hopeful future over there. Their happiness reached another level when they were presented with the Walmart gift card of $250,000 and a paid holiday to Las Vegas. Nothing could have been a better gift for them then this as they had not gone on honeymoon after their wedding.
After their appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show, they started getting donations of generosity from brands, celebrities, and many other people. They also got roped in a reality show on Oprah Winfrey Network named “Six Little McGhees.” The reality show helped the couple in expanding their business. But as we know everything has two sides, the brighter side and the darker one. The question is would this couple also got lost in the darker side of their fame.
Post six years, this inspiriting family has grown into a Very happy and relatively less hectic one. They led a blessed life with having a grand house to admitting their kids in big schools. They came up with another jaw-dropping idea to solemnize their blissful life.
They once again posed for a picture, this picture shared a glaring similarity with the earlier one. The only difference this time was that kids were bigger and wearing the similar outfit and Rozonno was a donning a black shirt in a match with Mia. This miracle was done by photographer by Brian Killian. He also had captured the first picture that went viral but the second one really amazed people. He reveals the reason behind the startling perfection in the second picture. The parents were asked to stay in the same position for the picture whereas only two kids were placed at a time. He, later on, put them all together by photoshop and the result is before you. You just can't stop yourself from admiring this highly talented photographer, can you? He also shared his experience on working with these sextuplets.
He said “They just want to hug you and they’re full of love and full of joy. They were great.” Since their birth, these kids have always been around the camera so making them pose for the picture was not a big problem. Rozonno Jr., Issac, Josiah, Madison, Elijah, and Olivia immensely enjoy their fame and are willing to continue with the limelight they receive in future.
The kids were apparently growing so after the end of season 3 the "Six Little McGhees" got a new name that was Growing Up McGhee. There on the series was aired on UP TV. This network holds a great viewership in African American demography and they had many fans in that group. They have done many cool things in the show.
Once in the show, Mia went to the grocery after having her budget estimated. Mia had never shopped for extreme couponing so naturally, that posed a challenge to her. Eventually, she goes over her budget in buying the fine print on coupons. Shopping for a big family of eight is not an easy feat. The show has many funny instances like this that would make you laugh hard.

They always wanted to this as during their first marriage the couple did not have many financial resources to have a grand wedding.
